Itinerary
Our workshop begins Saturday afternoon in
Springdale, Utah, just outside the south
entrance to Zion National Park. After a
workshop orientation we will head into the park
to shoot the iconic sunset of Watchman Tower
from the bridge.
Sunday morning we will photograph sunrise at
Checkerboard Mesa and then spend the rest of the
morning working our way back down to the canyon
floor, photographing the fascinating hoodoos and
other formations of the Zion plateau.
Sunday afternoon will take us out to the little
traveled Kolob Terrace for sunset.
Monday morning will find us photographing the
West Temples at sunrise. We will spend the
rest of the day photographing the many locations
in Zion Canyon including the Riverside Walk and
the Gateway to the Narrows.
The final sunrise of the workshop will be
back on the bridge photographing the Watchman
Tower in morning light. This is a totally
different experience and one not often
photographed. Unlike the sunset shoot,
we'll have the bridge to ourselves.
For those continuing on with the Bryce
workshop we will check out of our Springdale
hotel and drive to Bryce Canon City.
