Itinerary
Our photography workshop begins at noon on
Monday in San Simeon. We will begin with a
workshop orientation and then photograph the
nearby elephant seals at sunsets Tuesday
morning we will check out of our hotel and work
our way up the coast to Big Sur, photographing
the vistas and side canyons along the way.
Highlights include Salmon Creek, Redwood Cove,
San Dollar Beach, Willow Creek, Limekiln Creek
with the grand finale in Julia Pfeiffer Burns
State Park. We will check into our lodging
in Big Sur and enjoy dinner in one of the many
renowned restaurants.
Wednesday morning we will photograph the area
around Big Sur paying special attention to
redwood groves and waterfall of Pfeiffer Big Sur
State Park.
Thursday morning we will check out of our Big
Sur lodging and work our way up the coast to
Carmel. Along the way we will
photograph Partington, Bixby Bridge, the old
coast road, arriving at Point Lobos in time to
explore Edward Weston's haunt. We will
spend the rest of the day at Point Lobos where
we will photograph sunset. The workshop
will wrap up with a late dinner in Carmel or
nearby Monterey.
