Fire is a part of these trees’ lives. Far too grand to get involved in the fray however, you can imagine them standing stoically above it all, patiently waiting for the flames to move on. The inferno way down there must seem like annoying insects scratching at their trunks. They may be scarred but, relative to their lifetimes, they will heal in no time at all.
