The
Southern California room are pictures from my back yard. We live in an area of warm, sunny hills and shady, light speckled
live oak groves. The hiking opportunities range from easy five milers to very strenuous twenty mile treks. The
interesting thing about our local mountains are all the surprising places one stumbles across. I'll be adding to this
room as time goes by. I hope I can give you a view of our mountains that you wouldn't normally find.

Cabo San Lucas
is at the bottom tip of Baja California. It is famous for its sport fishing and party atmosphere. I
liked the mornings – early mornings. Cabo is a great place to shoot sunrise. Situated at the western edge of the Mountain Time zone I could actually sleep in until
6:00 and still get up in time to get out there while it was still very dark.
I got carried away shooting
the surf. I started out shooting it from the sand and ended up standing in it,
letting it wash around my legs as it came crashing in and rushing back out. The
ocean is the Sea of Cortez,
a name bestowed on it by Earnest Hemingway and, him being who he was, it stuck.
