Joshua Tree National Park, CA
Sometimes we are treated to breakthroughs. Sometimes the old becomes new and even better. This photograph marks a return to a more intimate style of photography that was part of my past. Even though I had never visited this spot before, something felt familiar and secure as I composed this shot and released the shutter. But this image also marked new ground and I was in for a delightful surprise as I worked on it back at home later that week. I discovered a new voice with which to praise the beauty of our earth, a voice that rings clear and brilliant.
