When you
drive more than 350 miles to get to a
spectacular place and then get up at 4:00 AM
to be on site at a stunning time of day, you
might hope for a perfect photographic
opportunity - crystal clear skies, views
that go on forever. You may not get
exactly what you want. You get
something better - the real desert. I
love this picture. It is one of the
most gentle and serene I have ever taken.
