Slot canyon light plays tricks on our minds, turning the red sandstone into blues and purples.  When the sun shines directly on the rock it glows with its natural radiant gold. But areas of the canyon where the sun does not directly shine are still illuminated by the vault of the beautiful blue sky above.  The rocks shine with a blue  luster and we think we're being  deceived by our own eyes.  But the colors are real.  As an artist I am able to capture this miraculous phenomenon and share it with you.
