Sunrises at Bryce Canyon are spectacular beyond description.  High atop the Paunsaugunt Plateau one has an unobstructed view of the eastern horizon.  The sun announces itself by the burning glow in the clear sky long before it lifts its orb into the heavens.  The quite hoodoos slowly gather light.  And then the sun bursts forth, majestic and powerful and sheds its glorious golden light on all below.
