Gateway to the Narrows (2010)

One of the most beautiful walks in Zion is the walk along the Virgin River that leads to the Gateway to the Narrows. The towering canyon walls close in on you as you proceed upstream until the canyon floor and the river become one.
As the sun moves across the sky the canyon becomes illuminated by the warm light reflecting from the red walls high above. The river bank becomes a place for tranquil contemplation. The water flows by carrying your thoughts on its surface.
