The sky was overcast.
A cold November wind was blowing from
the west and snow lingered on the ground
from a storm a few days before. I
shot the contours of the Bryce hoodoos
in the soft morning light for
about an hour. Then nature and the
sun smiled on me. Brilliant
sunlight poured through an opening in
the clouds for about ten minutes.
It was a glorious ten minutes.
Then the sun retreated back behind the
clouds, the wind picked up and
snowflakes started to fly. It was
over. I packed up my gear
and headed for home.
